Versatile Installation of Water Filtration Media

The Water Treatment Process

There are a series of steps that are taken when treating water to ensure you are removing all the substances (chemically, biologically, or physically) in the water. These steps or processes in water treatment are screening, aeration, coagulation and flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, chlorination, and supplementary treatment.

Hydrosil specializes in the filtration process utilizing our custom filter medias. Hydrosil's media is designed to target specific compounds and is typically installed in one of the three systems listed below.

Easy Pump and Treat Drum of Carbon

Standalone Treatment System

Hydrosil’s media can be loaded in drums or large pressure vessels for use as an efficient bed filtration medium. Simply known as a pump and treat (P&T) system. A P&T system is a method of pumping contaminated water, treating it with vessels of filter media, and then discharging the treated water in accordance with state and federal laws.

Applications for standalone units include tank cleaning, oil spill mitigation, stormwater run-off, pond clean-up, excavation and dewatering of groundwater, manufacturing/chemical processes.

Pre-Treatment System

Pre-treatment is the process of removing pollutants from water prior to being treated by a more complex system. A pre-treatment system on your water system can increase the efficiency and lifespan of your equipment.

Examples of when an organoclay or carbon pre-treatment system may be needed includes: RO systems, oily water systems, condensate treatment,

Polishing Treatment System

Hydrosil’s media can installed in drums or vessels as a tertiary and final treatment step. Many industries struggle with removing the dissolved compounds in water, therefore, with this final step of treatment you can remove 100% of the dissolved metals in your water.

Examples of this treatment system include post RO units, oil-water separators, resin or carbon vessels, sand filters, and other chemically or physical treatment units.

Hydrosil's media can be utlized in a wide range of vessels for removing contaminates of concern in your water.
